Pound the fruit….get high.
Party slang aside, there is a serious buzz to be had in this “indulge in tons of fruit thing.” Life ain’t nuthin’ but a party when your poundin’ down the fruit. For all the fruit toddlers out there, I just wanna say, you can’t have any idea how powerful this stuff is when you having one serving here and there. I never had a clue back when I dabbled in fruit.
I’m generally in a good mood, relatively speaking. People think I’m easy going and always happy. I have my ups and downs, but don’t let it show. So contrary to what people might think, I know mood swings. The emotional lift that you get from consuming produce with pits is powerful. I never have built up a tolerance to it’s effect. It gets you up and holds you there, steady for quite some time.
I don’t mean an orange here and a pear there. That does nothing. More like half a melon or more, 5 bananas, and a smoothie concoction. Not all at one time. That covers the first part of the day. Each session immediately brings my mood up to about as high as possible relative to what kind of day I’m having. I look forward to these mealetts for the natural high alone. The more you eat wonderful fruit, the better it tastes and the more you crave it. It’s always a win-win and win again situation with this stuff.
The reason that there is such a dramatic difference when eating this way, has to be that it gets in your blood, literally. When you just sample fruit you get no where in this game. Fruit was meant to be pounded down in massive volumes. Just as the fat fear was found to be unfounded, the fruit fear will be eliminated in no time. All the worries regarding fruit sugar are misplaced. The science behind the fear is missing the big picture of how fruit works with our bodies. Practically everything we need is perfectly supplied in fruit. It processes in our bodies at just the right rate, balanced by natures perfect recipe. Add some veggies and your done.
Now, I for one don’t believe that good health practices can’t be fun. The idea that restriction and discipline are required for good health, is annoying to me. Here’s what I think. Everyone gets to decide what works best for them. There are no rules in raw food health. When you are eating a large amount of raw food, you are on such a roll with your energy and health that some cooked food here and there can’t bring you down. No way. Enjoy and indulge, because nothing can stop you when your on the raw.
Please…..life is too wonderful and too short, to not have cake and eat it too. Raw food health brings the life back to life. There are so many aspects that are improved in ones life when this one easy change is implemented.
Get crazy with this. I’ll tell you what’s really wild and out of control. Pound a bunch of fruit and wash it down with your favorite coffee, if that’s your cup of tea. I’ve tried it and the buzz you get is out of this world.
There are no rules in raw.
Indulge.

The “buzz” you seems to be mentioning is a sugar high, which is followed by a crash, undoubtedly. I would love to eat this much fruit, but I (and almost all others I’ve observed) do not do well with such a high sugar intake. The energy boost is great, but it is shortly followed by hunger, exhaustion, and lack of focus, like any other sugar. And, washing it down with coffee? That’s just adding caffeine to enhance the “buzz.” I wouldn’t call this approach healthy by any means, with the exceptions of the nutrients in the fruit. All these nutrients, however, can be just as easily found in vegetables without all the sugar.

Great article. Fruits are raw energy. What we are suppose to eat, fresh and full of nutrients.
